Court-Appointed Counsel Registry

Section 27.40, Florida Statutes, requires the chief judge of the judicial circuit to compile a list of attorneys in private practice, by category of cases, who are available for appointment when the Public Defender’s Office and the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel are unable to provide representation due to a conflict of interest.  The list consists of attorneys in private practice.

 

In accordance with Administrative Order S-2025-020, the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit has adopted a biennial application process which will be conducted in odd-numbered years. The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit is NO LONGER accepting applications for the Biennial Court-Appointed Counsel Registry for fiscal years July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.  Please check our website in April 2027 for application information for biennial fiscal years July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028 and July 1, 2028 through June 30, 2029. 

 

The list of attorneys for each category of case for biennial fiscal years July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026 and July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 will be available for view by July 1, 2025.  To view the current fiscal year’s list of attorneys registered for each category of case, select the link below:
