With the support of Court Administration (i.e., Gina Justice and Angie Smith), the Behavioral Health Programs held its first Court Programs Internship Orientation on January 9, 2023. Honorable Judge Tesche Arkin, as the guest speaker; shared success stories from her time in Juvenile Delinquency, Dependency and Criminal Court. Judge Tesche Arkin also encouraged the students to remain open to the mentoring opportunities that would inevitably be available while interning in the 13th Circuit.

Team work makes the dream work and thanks to Court Administrator, Gina Justice; Chief Deputy of Court Programs, Angie Smith; Kevin Bowen (and the entire IT Department); Rich Hale (Security), Michael Moore (Public Information;) the Multimedia Team, and our current MSW Interns - the Summer 2023 Court Programs Internship Orientation was a huge success. Before their courthouse tour, the students had the opportunity to hear from Honorable Judge Daryl Manning, who served as guest speaker for the event. Judge Manning opened with thought provoking questions for the interns, talked about the importance of collaboration and reminded them that their voices would always be welcomed and valued in the 13th Circuit!
