Court-Appointed Counsel Registry

Section 27.40, Florida Statutes, requires the chief judge of the judicial circuit to compile a list of attorneys in private practice, by category of cases, who are available for appointment when the Public Defender’s Office and the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel are unable to provide representation due to a conflict of interest.

The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit is NO LONGER accepting applications for the Court-Appointed Counsel Registry for the fiscal year July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.  Please check our website in April 2019 for application information for fiscal year July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020.

Please note that for purposes of court appointments, the clerk’s office has been directed to utilize a randomized court-appointed counsel registry list rather than the alphabetical list posted here in an effort to facilitate an equitable distribution of appointments across all court-appointed registry categories.
