About Court Tours
GROUPS OR ORGANIZATIONS can arrange tours of the George Edgecomb Courthouse in Tampa, Florida.
COURT TOURS - JOURNEY THROUGH JUSTICE
Take a Closer Look at Your Court System
Cloaked in robes and steeped in rituals, the judiciary is the least known and almost always the least understood branch of government. Through courthouse tours, visitors gain direct access to justice. With direct access comes increased public awareness and understanding of the impact the judicial system can have on the lives of citizens from all walks of life – from students to visiting dignitaries.
“Journey through Justice” is geared for students beginning at 4th grade. Last year, almost 30% of the tours conducted were for public schools. Staff also conducted tours for private schools, technical colleges and professional organizations and visiting dignitaries. Tours are organized according to the group needs and because staff have other responsibilities, one week's notice is required to organize the tour. To ensure the best experience, group tours are limited to a maximum of 45 participants.
Court tours are held on (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays). For more information please see the Additional Information section below.
