Non-Jury Procedures

  1. Before scheduling a trial, parties must have attended mediation and a case management conference.
  2. At the case management conference, the Court will set pre-trial and trial dates. If none are set, counsel may contact the judicial assistant to schedule a pre-trial conference and trial times. Pre-trial times are set for 15 minutes each. UNIFORM ORDER SETTING TRIAL AND PRETRIAL CONFERENCE FORM
  3. To continue a scheduled trial, the parties must comply with Rule 1.460, Fla.R. Civ. P., and schedule a hearing with the Court. Parties may not stipulate to a continuance. A court order is required. A hearing must be scheduled on our UMC docket.
  4. Generally, all motions in limine should be filed and heard prior to the pre-trial conference.
