DACCO RECEIVES 1ST PLACE HONORS

(TAMPA, FLORIDA - 6/30/04) – DACCO received notification this week that they won 1st place for the Best Treatment Program in Florida for the Women’s Co-occurring Residential Program from the Florida Alcohol and Drug Addiction Association. The award will be presented at the association’s annual conference in Orlando in August.

“DACCO has been the primary provider our Adult Diversion Pre-Trial Intervention Program since we began in 1992,” Gail Holly, 13th Judicial Circuit Drug Court Coordinator, expressed, “and we always receive positive feedback from our client exit interviews rating their treatment program.”

These particular clients must come to terms with the painful reality of having both a substance disorder and a mental illness, wanting neither one, yet having to build a new life that involves recovery for both. “They have been an integral part of our drug court process.,” stated Judge Jack Espinosa.
