Procedures

Motion Practice

• Short Motions. (Uncontested or 10 minute hearings) See "UMC" link below.
• Long Motions. (Arguments that will exceed 10 minutes) Contact the Judicial Assistant for hearing times or use our online scheduling (JCalendar) for 15 or 30 minute hearings. Hearings exceeding 30 minutes must be set through the Judicial Assistant.

Discovery Disputes. Objections, protective orders, motions to compel, etc.

Foreclosures. Motions for summary judgments and uncontested final judgments.      Foreclosure Motions. See "Mortgage Foreclosures"link to the top left of this page.

Orders - Format and Procedure.

     1. All orders must state the subject matter of the order in the title. The text of the order must state the date on which the matter was heard.

     2. No order should be submitted containing on the last page only the "Ordered at..." paragraph and signature line.

     3. Orders should comply fully with Administrative Order Number S-2007-151.

     4. All proposed orders should be mailed directly to the judge's office at 800 E. Twiggs, Room 526, Tampa, FL 33602
