If you are attempting to modify or terminate probation or community control,
Please note the following:
- Pro se packets are available either at the Public Defender’s Office or online. To access online, click here.
- The packet includes the instructions, as well as, the motion, an order and a notice of hearing. Follow the instructions as provided. Please keep in mind that you should not file the original packet until you have been confirmed for a hearing date and time.
- When you reach step number three (3) you will need to contact the Judicial Assistant at (813) 272-5450 to receive a tentative date and time to appear*.
- After receiving the tentative date and time please contact your probation officer to advise them of this and request that they provide a memo, regarding your motion, to the judge. If Judge Foster does not receive this information he will not be able to rule on your motion.
- Please call the Judicial Assistant to advise of the Probation Officer’s name and telephone number and you will be confirmed for the date and time you were given.
* Court dates for termination or modification of probation or community control will only be scheduled for disposition weeks. The court date you request, will always be approximately two weeks from the date you contacted the Judicial Assistant.
