Look at your papers for the following items to help navigate intelligently through the courthouse:

C-PAY-
Q. WHERE DO I GO TO SET UP PAYMENTS PLANS OWED TO THE COURT?

A. Edgecomb, 1st floor windows 9 through 12. Phone 276-8100 ext. 4464. This office sets up payment plans for any monies due to the court.
DIVORCE-
Q. Where can I obtain blank forms to use in filing for divorce, child custody, name change, or any other Family Law cases?

A. You may obtain blank forms at the Family Law/Child Support Clerk of the Circuit, on the 1st floor of the George E. Edgecomb Courthouse. There is a copy fee. If you have access to a computer and printer, you may download and print copies of blank forms from Circuit: Unified Family Court Forms for no cost . Scroll down to the sections containing the forms you need.
EARLY TERMINATION OF PROBATION-
Q. Where can I file for early termination of probation?

A. Packages are located at the Public Defender's Office at 700 E. Twiggs Street, 5th floor.
EXPUNGEMENT(for more info and forms, click here) -
Q. How do I expunge my record?

A. For a felony, go to 800 E Twiggs Street, Annex, Room 202. For a misdemeanor, go to 700 Twiggs, 7th floor.
FORECLOSURES -
Q. Where can I find a list of homes under foreclosure?

A. Files and list of homes being sold are located in the Edgecomb Courthouse Circuit Civil, 5th floor, Room 530. Foreclosure sales are held at 2pm in Room 201 or 202. Real Estate license required for admittance.

Q. If I am representing myself, where can I recieve legal information?

A. Bay Area Legal Services offers free legal information on the 2nd floor of the Edgecomb building, Room 203, to persons representing themselves in certain types of Hillsborough County cases; family law, residential landlord/tenant, and small claims cases. Call the recording for operating times and dates: (813) 864-2280.

INJUNCTION (for more info, click here)-
Q. Where do I go to obtain an injunction for protection against violence?

A. You may file a petition for a Protection Against Violence at several different locations.

You may complete the necessary paperwork in the Clerk of the Circuit Court: Family Law Department which is located on the first floor of the George E. Edgecomb Courthouse at 800 E. Twiggs St. in downtown Tampa. The hours of operation are 8am until 6pm, Monday through Friday. Petitions are accepted for filing until 5pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays the hours are 7am to 10am and petitions are accepted for filing until 10am. The phone number is (813) 276-8100 Ext. 4356.

You may complete the necessary paperwork at the Plant City Courthouse Annex, located at 302 N. Michigan Avenue, Plant City, FL. The hours of operation are 8am until 5pm, Monday through Friday. Petitions are accepted by the clerk for filing until 4 PM. The phone number is (813) 276-8100 Ext. 4524.

If you need to file a petition for Protection Against Domestic Violence outside the hours of operation for the courthouse, you may contact local law enforcement for assistance or the Spring of Tampa Bay at (813) 247-7233 to arrange to complete the necessary paperwork at the shelter.

A. Go to the Clerk of the Circuit Court at the Mac Center, located at 501 E. Kennedy Blvd 6th floor. The phone number is (813) 276-8100 menu number 6. Under this menu it has a detailed message on what needs to be brought with you or click here for more information.

MISDEMEANORS/TRAFFIC -


Q. I have a court date for a misdemeanor and/or traffic issue, where do I go?

A. Please come to court with your paperwork. Should you not have them, contact the following offices:

Traffic: Call the traffic clerk at (813) 276-8200 or go to 800 Twiggs Street, Room 101 windows 8-10 to receive specifics.

Note: Thursdays, civil traffic cases are handled for, division N, in room number 302. Also - check your paperwork as cases may be at the Floriland Mall. There are 6 criminal traffic court rooms. Numbers 8, 10, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Number 8 and 10 is located on the first floor of the annex and the others are located on the 2nd floor of the North Annex.

NOTARIZE -
Q. Where do I get documents notarized?

A. A notary is available for a fee in the Clerk’s Office located on the 1st floor of the Edgecomb Courthouse at 800 E Twiggs Street.
