WHAT'S NEW IN UNIFIED FAMILY
DOMESTIC RELATIONS/FAMILY LAW DIVISION

EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 2010

Although paragraph 5 of AO S-2010-019* can reasonably be read to require only a copy of the Motion for Referral to GM, please also provide a copy of the motion or petition requiring hearing time via email (as an attachment) to:famlawdiva@fljud13.org.

Without a copy of the motion or petition to be referred, the preparation and distribution of the Order of Referral could be delayed.

*Please note matters under the child support umbrella (daycare, medical, college tuition, etc.) do not require an order of referral to the general magistrate.

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2010

Family Law Division C (Judge Catlin) will become the Temporary Relief Division for all divisions within Family Law/Domestic Relations. Please refer to
Administrative Order S-2010-041 for details. 

EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 2009

Pursuant to Administrative Rule S-2009-106 Family Law Procedures, this court will no longer hold orders awaiting objections (or lack thereof) from the opposing party.  Please submit the proposed order when it has been approved by both sides.  If both sides cannot reach an agreement, please email our office for a hearing time and date.
