The primary purpose of visiting is to allow children to preserve relationships with people who are important to them.
A safe environment for children in the care of the Department of Children and Families or other guardians to maintain contact with their non-custodial parents amidst allegations that the children's safety would otherwise be jeopardized. Judges order these visitations in criminal, domestic violence, family law and dependency cases. Over three thousand visits occur each year. The CJC provides the visitation facilities, scheduling, supervision, toys, and videotaping of the visits.
